Can anyone troubleshoot my hydraulics?

I have a 1998 ASV HD4520, skid steer loader. The bucket works on a manual, not electric, joystick controller. I had the lift cylinders rebuilt about two weeks ago. The machine has been working fine. Yesterday one of my workers was trying to get a piece of a stump out of the ground and the bucket popped off of the root and shook the hell out of the machine. Ever since that happened, the tilt on the bucket will not work. All of the hydraulics work off of the same motor. (tracks, lift, tilt, and aux.) Everything else is working fine. The tilt will only dangle when there is no pressure applied. There aren’t any leaks. I removed on line, there is pressure. no matter which direction I try to tilt it, it tilts downward. when I let off, it dangles. Can anyone tell me what is happening? I am lost. Thanks in advance. You can email me @ dstreedirtyahoo.com. Any literature on this would be greatly appreciated also.

CAT 279C with 4i1 tiltbucket levelling.wmv

This machine is mainly modified to work in Railway works, like repairs and gravel transport & levelling for the rail tracks. We call it “railcat”. It’s a 4i1 multipurpose bucket, with build-in tilt functionality (+/- 5% tilt range), The bucket has fixed sides, which can be bolted on or off. It’s really working very well with Trimble Machine Control, and is purpose build for this type if machine & application. The load sensing hydraulic system has been purpose modified and build for this machine control system, it’s special but it works. The Trimble system will automatically control lift/lower & tilt function, it can work with following types of machine control: AS400 slope sensor alone or in combination with Laser (dual or single), UTS totalstation or GPS (dual or single). Auto/Manual & Offset function is build into the left and right joysticks, so it’s all integrated and easy to operate. You can dig, excavate, level, carry with the bucket, just like you normally would, if you want to spread out material in a certain layer, just press “auto” when you get near the working area, keep the bucket level (pitch) and open bucket when it’s time to release the material, then machine will lay material in the wanted layer. Depending on the speed an tuning of valve speeds, you can finish grade for pavement or similiar. Contact Pon Equipment DK or Pon Rental DK for more information: www.pon-cat.com

anybody know about joystick hydraulic controller for Caterpillar machine?

I have an ASV / Cat skid steer loader. This machine is a track machine. The tracks run off of the same hydraulice motor as everything else. the tracks work fine, the lift works fine, but the bucket tilt will not operate. Two weeks ago I had the cylinders for the tilt, rebuilt. It was working fine. now, it will not move. it just dangles and flops around. I checked for leaks, there aren’t any. I pulled the hoses loose from the tilt and there is a lot of pressure. Should both lines on one cylinder be blowing fluid at the same time? I thought that one would suck while one pushes and when you move the joystick, vice versa. I might be wrong. well, that is why I am asking. Can anybody help me?
If this was the cylinder, it would be one or the other. not both at the same time, huh? I got a little more information. When my operator was using the machine, he had it in a bind up against a root. the bucket popped off of the root and he said it shook the heck out of the machine. that is when it quit working.
